Today’s Wine Review

Vacation is so nice. That means we are both off and get to have dinner together every night which includes wine. Woo hoo. The latest bottle I opened was a white wine our friends had brought over and we didn’t get it opened that night. Since dinner was Jamaican Jerk Chicken, I thought that a Pinot Gris from Oregon would be perfect.

The wine, Ponzi Vineyards, Pinot Gris, vintage 2014 was almost clear in the glass. I could smell lemon when I stuck my nose in the glass. The wine had a light crisp effervescent taste. The wine has an alcohol content of 13.1%. You can find them online at http://www.ponziwines.com. The wine was a good match with the spicy Jamaican Jerk Chicken.

Ponzi Wines is one that I’ve had on my list to try, but haven’t bought any yet. Now I will be trying other bottles of Ponzi. I might even have to take a road trip.

I love to be outdoors, hiking, pheasant hunting, playing with my dogs. And I love to take pictures of the things I see and write about my experiences. I don't take life too seriously, I poke fun at myself and just about everybody else. I've gotten selfish as I've gotten older.
